ABOUT THE KANBAR CAMPUS CENTER

Anchoring a redesigned main campus, the new 72,000-square-foot addition to the Philadelphia University campus is the ideal place for students to come together for a bite to eat, a club meeting or to connect with other students, faculty and staff.

Here, students can cozy up to the fireplace in the living room and read a book, catch a performance of the Gemini Theater or play pool with friends in the hip new bistro, Ted’s Place.

The Center is named for Maurice Kanbar ’52 – an entrepreneur, inventor, film producer and major benefactor of the University.

Features include:
  • An open design with walls of windows to capture the natural setting and make events visible from much of Main Campus
  • Dining options ranging from a café for snacks to facilities for formal parties
  • Second level with coffee bar, pool tables, flat-screen television, comfortable lounge space and a convenience store
  • A performance center and display areas where students may showcase their talents
  • Lounges and conference areas for club activities, meetings and celebrations
